Introduction

by taylder last modified 2008-12-19 16:57

This course is based on the concept of tourism as a driving force behind local development and therefore analyses ways to integrate the needs of economic sectors such as the tourism sector with conditions that guarantee the sustainability of territorial development.

During the course, we will examine the key requirements for making tourism a sustainable socioeconomic alternative for a territory, the reasons it is able to do this, which contexts are favourable and what elements should be taken into account to design a local development strategy based on tourism.

The course is delivered fully using distance-learning methods through the use of information and communication technologies.
Each participant receives the constant support of a specialised teaching team and, through the Delnet virtual campus, is able to call on a tool for monitoring and developing his or her learning processes: the virtual classroom.

The classroom offers all elements required to ensure that course participation is an enriching experience, enabling participants to find, in one easy-to-use space, all training content, information, and advice on how to successfully keep up with the pace of learning and also tools for direct communication with course tutors and colleagues.

Participants who pass the course are awarded a Diploma issued by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation.

This course is available in Spanish.
